During the Middle Ages it depended on your rank in society on what type of clothing you wore. All people of the Middle Ages clothes were made out of wool and linen both commonly used at the time. The wealthy men of the higher classes wore jackets, tunics, skirting, robes, fancy shirts, and pants or shorts. Also people would know your society rank by your clothing because of its bright colors, material, and longer jacket length. As for the wealthy women of the higher classes they wore gowns or dresses with lost of jewelry. Both men and women jewelry to show off pride and class. The women also wore turbans. The lower class people wore nothing fancy or dashing. Just a regular blouse and shirt for the women. Just regular boots, trousers, belts, cloth, and shirts for the men. When you were looked at if you were in the higher class you would feel well known and proud. As for the lower class you really just wanted to be known for your hard work not apparel. Over time clothing in Europe changed but not for a while.
