The people of the Middle Ages thought that entertainment was essential to life as well as arts and music. A big part of entertainment was drama. There were all kinds off drama plays. Some of the plays were reenacted from the Bible such as "Noah and the flood" more plays were about Christ and his life. Another way of entertainment during the Middle Ages was fairs and festivals to play games and listen to music. Supplying the music were bands. There were dozens of bands all around the fair or festival performing songs. In the Middle Ages instruments there were not that many instruments invented yet. The instruments that were play however in the bands were the fiddle, drums, and harp. Of course people made their own instruments out of materials they could find. Singing was big in the church. Monks and scholars participated with singing and dancing to songs they new. More types of plays developed as the the Middle Ages progressed.

A theater that held plays and sat thousands.
People are filled with joy after they have won a battle.
